steev mc conville (Mal-0x, maldash zerox) dropped lego for software when, as a child, he figured out that the apple IIc could make rudimentary beeping noises. Today he writes programs to write programs to write music. His main tools are Csound and python (sometimes using Blue and athenaCL), but departures into awk, javascript, sox, perl, supercollider, prolog and even stranger things are not unknown. Currently based in Cambridge (UK) and trying to develop a livecoding system. Emphasis is trying out new things, rather than quality of individual pieces or quantity of output. Hence the still-rudimentary nature of the beeping noises.

Hungry Toast: Sonification of Data Structures is an article I submitted for the Bring The Noise zine in Oct 2006. It resulted in the track above, and uses my EvStream module.
