We do not lack communication.
On the contrary, we have too much of it.
We lack creation.
We lack resistance to the present.
- Gilles Deleuze

Re: The Man
A sound designer by trade, steeped in years of studying the live performative arts and experimenting with the use of often unreliable technology in the field, I revel in the liminal. There is an element of danger when one is consciously focused on that which has not been before and that which shortly will not be again that adds to the magic of performance from my perspective. Mimesis has its place but I would like to keep that place as far away from my own work as possible. Too much focus on the past has a strange ability to shape the future.

Re: The Music
Under my own name and pseudonymously as either Sub Commander RFKorp (un)Inc. or The Kore:US (of Kourse) I implement a variety of acoustic and electronic instruments (i.e. prepared guitar, turntables, analog synths, tenor sax, trumpet, cello, voice, various percussion, assorted homemade electronics), independently and in various combinations, miked and amplified in creative ways through an additional array of digital sound processors, in order to create emotionally driven explorations of textured sound. Although some projects become labors of endless digital editing to produce their ultimate shape, my work tends toward the school of “instant composition,” creating by improvising with certain guidelines and structural plans in mind. The results, often filled with howling feedback and timbres familiar to the listeners of harsh noise, are, as a whole, far more gently meditative than such components would suggest.
